В течение последних шести лет (2009-2014) сотрудниками Инфекционной больницы № 1 и НИИ вирусологии им. Д.И. Ивановского Минздрава России было диагностировано в общей сложности 178 лабораторно-верифицированных случаев: лихорадки денге (ЛД) - 157, лихорадки Чикунгунья - 10, лихорадки Западного Нила - 6, москитных лихорадок - 3 и японского энцефалита - 1 среди лиц, госпитализированных после возвращения из поездок в тропические страны. Из 157 случаев ЛД 87,5% приходилось на классическую (гриппоподобную) форму этой инфекции, у 12,5% наблюдалась геморрагическая (вторичная) форма заболевания различной степени тяжести. Тяжелая ЛД наблюдалась у 3 (1,9%) пациентов. В последнее время в связи с развитием массового туризма, интенсификацией миграционных процессов и деловых связей возникла проблема завозных случаев этих заболеваний из тропических и субтропических стран в неэндемичные районы.
