Abstract
The acid-catalyzed reaction of substituted benzaldehydes with Girard’s reagent T leads to the formation of new water-soluble mixed ammonium-phosphonium salts. The obtained compounds exhibit high antimicrobial and moderate antitumor activities with low hemotoxicity.
