Abstract
Stone loaches collected in a stream associated with the Lake Bulunkul, Murgab district of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region of Tajikistan, Pamir, are identified as Triplophysa lacusnigri, a species described and recorded only from the Karakul Lake system. These data indicate a wider distribution of the species in the Pamir. However, to determine the biodiversity of Pamir fish, molecular genetic studies of Triplophysa species are needed.
