The study estimated the intensive and extensive parameters of primary and overall morbidity for infectious and parasitic diseases. The information was processed using epidemiological and statistical methods. The Student <italic>t</italic>-test was used to evaluate the significance of the differences.</p> <p><bold>Results:</bold> Over 2014–2020, a statistically significant 2.85-fold increase in the primary infectious morbidity rate was reported in the Gomel region, rising from 3206.2 ± 14.76 to 9142.2 ± 24.52 cases per 100,000 (<italic>t</italic> = 207.4; <italic>p</italic> &lt; 0.001). The overall infectious morbidity rate increased 2.26 times during the same period, from 4569.4 ± 17.49 to 10,335.4 ± 25.90 cases per 100,000 (<italic>t</italic> = 184.5; <italic>р</italic> &lt; 0.001). These parameters declined significantly in subsequent years. By 2023, the primary infectious morbidity rate of the Gomel region population was 3578.6 ± 16.03 (<italic>t</italic> = 189.9; <italic>р</italic> &lt; 0.001), and the overall rate was 4848.9 ± 18.53 cases per 100,000 (<italic>t</italic> = 172.3; <italic>р</italic> &lt; 0.001). Most cases account for airborne infections, viral hepatitis, and HIV/AIDS.</p> <p><bold>Conclusion:</bold> The incidence rate of infections in the Gomel region has remained stable over the past decade, except during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020–2022. The pandemic has demonstrated the effectiveness of simple, low-cost anti-epidemic measures.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="ru"><p><bold>Обоснование.</bold> Анализ инфекционной заболеваемости позволяет оценить частоту возникновения, динамику и эффективность комплекса профилактических, социально-гигиенических и лечебных мероприятий, направленных на её снижение.</p> <p><bold>Цель исследования.</bold> Провести эпидемиологический анализ динамики инфекционной заболеваемости в Гомельской области за период 2014–2023 гг.</p> <p><bold>Методы.</bold> В работе проанализировали ежегодные отчёты о заболеваемости взрослого и детского населения Гомельской области с 2014 по 2023 год. Исследование включало расчёт интенсивных и экстенсивных показателей первичной и общей заболеваемости инфекционными и паразитарными болезнями. Применяли эпидемиологический и статистический методы обработки информации. Для оценки статистической значимости отличий использовали <italic>t</italic>–критерий Стьюдента.</p> <p><bold>Результаты.</bold> В период 2014–2020 гг. зафиксировали статистически значимый рост первичной инфекционной заболеваемости населения Гомельской области в 2,85 раза — с 3206,2±14,76 до 9142,2±24,52 случаев на 100 тыс. населения (<italic>t</italic>=207,4; <italic>р</italic> &lt;0,001). Общая инфекционная заболеваемость за этот же период выросла в 2,26 раза — с 4569,4±17,49 до 10335,4±25,90 случаев на 100 тыс. населения (<italic>t</italic>=184,5; <italic>р</italic> &lt;0,001). В последующие годы показатели значимо снизились. К 2023 г. первичная инфекционная заболеваемость населения Гомельской области составила 3578,6±16,03 (<italic>t</italic>=189,9; <italic>р</italic> &lt;0,001), а общая — 4848,9±18,53 случаев на 100 тыс. населения (<italic>t</italic>=172,3; <italic>р</italic> &lt;0,001). В структуре заболеваемости преобладают инфекции, передающиеся воздушно-капельным путём, вирусные гепатиты и инфекция, вызванная вирусом иммунодефицита человека.</p> <p><bold>Заключение.</bold> За последнее десятилетие показатель инфекционной заболеваемости в Гомельской области носит стабильный характер за исключением периода 2020–2022 годов, связанного с пандемией COVID-19.
